Programs & Services

Overview

Academic & Social Support Services

Academic and social support services are available to both residential and outpatient clients. Some elements of this program include tutoring, mentoring, and social and life skills education. Youth Bridge offers two state certified classrooms where residential clients can earn their high school diploma, GED or even college credit.

Clinical Treatment

The clinical treatment program includes evaluation and diagnosis, residential and outpatient counseling, family counseling, substance abuse counseling, group counseling, and drug screens.

Behavioral Management Intervention

Behavioral management interventions allow Youth Bridge case managers to conduct both electronic and non-electronic compliance monitoring of high-risk clients, as well as community service supervision. Electronic monitoring is typically court-ordered, and requires the youth to wear an ankle bracelet for tracking. Non-electronic monitoring includes intense supervision of outpatient clients by their assigned case managers.

Residential Services

Residential services include two emergency shelters, the state’s first Division of Youth Services (DYS) residential substance abuse treatment center for teens, a therapeutic group home for adjudicated males, and a transitional living program for homeless young adults. Programs vary in intensity and duration depending on the needs of each client and their diagnosed treatment.

Aftercare

After completion of a DYS mandated program, clients are referred to Youth Bridge for the development of an aftercare plan. Aftercare exists to ensure that clients have the best opportunity possible to reintegrate into society and refrain from detrimental behavior.

Transitional Living Program (TLP)

TLP serves a mixed gender population of homeless people between the ages of 18 and 22 who have no support network/system, and/or the education, skills and economic resources necessary to reach self-sufficiency. This program is for young adults who have agreed to work towards acquiring skills that will allow them to live successfully on their own while becoming positive members of society.
