2009 VIP event

December 2nd, 2009 . by Cody Ford
The 2nd Annual VIP “It’s a Wonderful Life” event was a huge success. Not only did Youth Bridge get the honor of celebrating the lives of three amazing Northwest Arkansans, we also helped raise funds for the Youth Bridge programs. This year we honored Shirley “Peaches” Peterson, Fadil Bayyari and Dick Johnson for the impact they have made on youth in Northwest Arkansas.
200 distinguished guests enjoyed a program emceed by Youth Bridge friend, Dick Trammel, that included videos about Youth Bridge and the honorees, special guest speakers, former and current clients of the Youth Bridge programs, a wonderful dinner, a reception hour, a fabulous silent auction and an exciting live auction.
The silent auction had 33 themed packages including, “The Ultimate Bon Jovi Fan”, a Crack of the Bat”, “The Pampered Woman”, “A Baby’s Christmas” and many more. In total, the silent auction raised approximately $6000.  In addition, there were two items which were auctioned off during a special live auction, facilitated by Mr. Dick Trammel. One was a 7 day, 6 night stay at a cozy cottage in Ouray, Colorado, donated by Sam Mathias. The second was an exquisite 4′x4′ original artwork from famed local artist Christina Mariotti. Both went for a combined total of $3,300. What a steal!
Thank you to everyone who participated and we look forward to a wonderful year at Youth Bridge with your help.

Tyson donates $5000 for Youth Bridge’s P.A.S.A. Campaign (Partners Against Substance Abuse)

January 9th, 2009 . by Cody Ford

Thank you to Tyson who has helped lead businesses across Northwest Arkansas during Youth Bridge’s P.A.S.A. Campaign (Partners Against Substance Abuse). The campaign was implemented as a tool to fight substance abuse in Northwest Arkansas. Only 5% of Arkansans who need substance abuse treatment are able to access service. Youth Bridge and Tyson are committed to help fight this problem in our backyard. Youth Bridge will be expanding our substance abuse outpatient therapy and working with our community partners to prevent this problem.

If you’d like to  join our P.A.S.A. campaign as a business or an individual, please contact Nancy Hairston, Development Director at 479-575-9471 or nhairston@youthbridge.com
