Volunteers Remodel the Centerton Shelter Bathroom
July 24th, 2008 . by HollandWe want to extend a huge THANK YOU to the group of volunteers from the First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville who adopted the Youth Bridge Centerton Shelter. After touring the facility, the volunteers decided the first order of business was to give the Youth Bridge boys a new bathroom. Previously the girl had occupied the boy’s wing, so the bathroom needed to be “de-girlied”. No more pink shower curtain, linoleum floors or seafoam green paint on the walls.
In just one weekend, these amazing volunteers demolished the bathroom, took up the floors, patched holes in the walls, repaired toilets, replaced ugly lights, painted, laid a new tile floor, and put down new baseboards. The results speak for themselves.
Thank you to each and everyone of the volunteers from First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville. They are:
- Keith and Marcia Smith
- Dan McElroy
- Lynn Monroe
- Pat Lockridge
