Christmas just got a little sweeter for the 16 clients and 7 babies in Youth Bridge’s Transitional Living Program (TLP) thanks to Boston’s Sports Grill and Everett Maxey Buick Pontiac GMC. Amanda Weeter, Community Relations Coordinator for Boston’s organized the effort. With help from many of their regular customers, employees and friends, including several Wal-Mart vendors, they were able to gather a van full of toys and supplies for the TLP clients. When Youth Bridge representatives went to pick up the donations, Amanda and Boston’s employees surprised them with the additional donation of a van. Everett Maxey joined their efforts when Amanda called sharing the mission of Youth Bridge and the purpose of the Transitional Living Program. Their contribution of a vehicle is priceless to the Youth Bridge program, considering most grants won’t cover vehicle expenses. The van will be used to transport clients to their jobs, school, doctor’s appointments and day cares.
Youth Bridge’s TLP serves at-risk youth ages 16-23. Currently there are four young ladies living in the Fayetteville Junior Civic League house with a house mother and twelve clients with seven children of their own living in apartments. The purpose of the Transitional Living Program is to transition these at-risk youth back into our community.
Youth Bridge is a non-profit, for impact agency that provides comprehensive services to at-risk teens and their families in the areas of: abuse, neglect, addiction, homelessness, and behavioral issues.
We provide outpatient, residential, emergency and outreach services.
