Youth Bridge’s Breakfast Boogie a Huge Success!
June 27th, 2008 . by HollandA great time was had by all at Youth Bridge’s Breakfast Boogie held on June 14, 2008 at George’s Majestic Lounge. Approximately 100 people attending the morning party which raised money for operations at Youth Bridge. Attendees enjoyed a delicious salsa breakfast provided by Qdoba’s and chatted while watching the Youth Bridge TLP documentary screened on 5 TVs.
The party really got underway when Big Uns started playing. If you haven’t ever had the chance to see Big Uns play, it’s a must! How great is this band? Everyone enjoyed the music and quite a few people got on the floor to show us their best dance moves.
Not only did guests have a chance to mingle with new friends, eat a delicious breakfast, learn more about Youth Bridge and dance to the songs of Big Uns, but they also had the chance to take home some excellent prizes. Balloon pops were a very popular part of the Breakfast Boogie and will be at Youth Bridge events in the future! $5, $10 and $20 could be shelled out by guests, with their chance to win something of a much bigger value. We had blue balloons for the $5 balloon pops, red balloons for the $10 level and green balloons for the high dollar prizes. Guests then popped the balloons to see what prize was inside. And there were some great prizes!!! Ron walked away after buying a $20 green balloon with a weekend stay at the Crescent Hotel and Spa in Eureka Springs. Tim and Keena spent $20 on a green balloon and popped their prize of a beautiful black and white office size framed print. Linda bought a few $10 balloons and ended up with gift certificates to The Pink Papaya, Osegueras and Pesto Cafe! Needless to say, balloon pops are just too much fun to pass up. It’s Youth Bridge’s little twist on the silent auction! (If you’d like to donate a prize for our next event please call Audie Weatherford at 479-575-9471)
We want to send out a big “Thank You” to our sponsors!
We hope you will be able to join us at next year’s Breakfast Boogie, which will only be bigger and better. Please take a look at just some of the pictures from this year’s event.
